JUI-F protests hooliganism at Masjid-i-Nabwi in Lower Dir – Pakistan

LOWER DIR: Jamiat Ulema-Islam-Fazl and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz jointly held a rally outside the Timergara Press Club here on Friday against hooliganism at Masjid-i-Nabwi in Medina during a recent visit by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

Many JUI-F and PML-N staff members gathered at Shaheed Chowk and shouted slogans against those involved in the incident. The rally was officiated by JUI-F district emir Sirajuddin and tehsil emir Mufti Bakht Sardar, PML-N district president Malik Farooq Iqbal, general secretary Sardar Javed Akhtar and leader Qazi Ayazuddin.

Speakers have condemned the incident and called it a violation of the sanctity of the Masjid-i-Nabwi.

They said Muslims were obliged to respect the sanctity of the Masjid-i-Nabwi and other mosques. Proponents of her case have been working to make the actual transcript of this statement available online.

They demand that the people involved in the insurgency in Masjid-i-Nabwi be arrested immediately for trial by Pakistani courts.
