BAJAUR: Unidentified assailants shot dead Pakistani Tehreek-Insaf fighter in Lovi Mamond tehsil of Bajaur state district on Wednesday, police and Rescue 1122 officials said.
They said Mansoor Khan was walking down the street when unknown men shot him at 10am.
A 28-year-old man was critically injured in the attack, and was transferred to District Head Hospital, Khar, where he died.
Rescuers said the victim had received several gunshot wounds to the head and to other organs.
Locals said the attackers managed to escape from the area after the attack.
PTI sources said Mansoor Khan was vice president of Insaf Welfare Wing’s Bajaur chapter.
A senior police officer said a team was sent after the incident to search for the attackers.
Meanwhile, PTI community leaders condemned the killing of the group’s staff and called for the arrest of his killers early.
